Elected officials, business and civic leaders convened on April 13, 2007 in Hartford to discuss the future of the public transportation system across Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The members covered topics such as regional integration of underused railroads, high-speed rail, financing strategies and economic development. The overall vision took on a holistic approach to adress these important issues. This meeting is a promising sign following the Northeast Summit of new support in New England for improved mobility in the Northeast Corridor. Read more below.
