America 2050 Seeking Summer Intern: Deadline March 1

America 2050 is seeking a high-speed rail intern for the summer of 2011. America 2050 is Regional Plan Association's national infrastructure planning and policy initiative. The initiative is working to shape and support the new federal High-Speed Intercity Passenger Rail program because of high-speed rail's potential to act a transformative investment for America's future growth.

The position is full-time, based at the New York City office for 10-12 weeks, start and end date flexible. Candidates should be pursuing a graduate degree in urban planning or public policy with a focus on transportation and/or high-speed rail. The selected intern will provide assistance to the Director of America 2050 on research, mapping, writing, and communications related to America 2050's national high-speed rail program and RPA's high-speed rail advocacy in the Northeast Corridor. The intern will work with the Director to craft his or her own summer-long work plan in the first week of the internship.
